After-school centers are now open for registration
Registration has been opened for after-school centers for the school year 2021-2022. The after-school centers in Hafnarfjörður are intended for children in the 1st to 4th grade and are operated in all primary schools in Hafnarfjörður. The role of after-school centres is to offer diverse leisure activities for students after the traditional school day. The work is based on choice, group work, workshops and outdoor activities. The aim of the after-school centres is that each child can flourish and develop in an environment characterised by warmth, security and respect.
Registration is done electronically through My Pages on www.hafnarfjordur.is/en
Applications are valid for one school year at a time (August-June) and applications received before June 15th will have priority. Applications received after that time will not be processed until August. When registering, it is important to ensure that all information is correct and that special needs are noticed. When a child receives a notification of a stay at an after-school centre, the parent will get an e-mail at the address stated. The parent will have to reply and accept invite within three days.
