Bolludagur og öskudagur next week
Ágætu nemendur og forráðamenn.
Á „bolludaginn“ mánudaginn 8. febrúar mega allir koma með bollur í skólann.
„Öskudagur“ miðvikudaginn 10. febrúar er sveigjanlegur skóladagur og þá gerum við okkur dagamun.
Allir nemendur mæta í skólann þennan dag frá klukkan 8:00 - 11:00.
Þeir nemendur sem eru skráðir í Lækjarsel fara þangað að loknum skóladegi kl. 11:00.
Við hvetjum alla til að mæta í búningum/náttfötum en við skiljum vopn eftir heima

Dear students and parents
Monday the 8th February is a special day here in Iceland: „bolludagur“ (Bun Monday). On this day students are allowed to bring buns for the morning break and lunch. Traditionally these buns are rather sweet, filled with double cream and jam, with chocolate on top.
,,Öskudagur“ (Ash Wednesday) is held this year on 10th February. Here in Iceland it is customary for children to wear costumes on this day. Therefore, we encourage everyone to come to school next Wednesday wearing a costume/pyjamas. However, no toy weapons of any kind are allowed!
The school day is a little bit shorter than usual, students will be at school from 8:00 o'clock until 11:00 o'clock.
Those students who are registered at Lækjarsel (the after school day care/activity centre) will be there from 11:00 o'clock on this day.
